Farewell DrumBox, hello DrumBox NG!

So long DrumBox, we barely knew ya... In case you haven't been keeping up, DrumBox was an interactive web widget for creating drum patterns.  DrumBox has been replaced with DrumBox NG which offers a lot more flexibility with its drag-and-drop interface and other enhancements.

This is fresh off the press, so there is bound to be some interesting behavior.  Click here to view a tutorial video  or just jump in and figure it out.  A few hints to get you started:

  • Logged in users may create a new DrumBox NG, give it a title and press 'Submit' to begin editing it.
  • Guest users can play with existing patterns but not save them.
  • double click in the grid area to create a sound event
  • sound events can be dragged to a new location and resized by dragging the right edge
  • drag sound events to the gray area below the grid to discard them
  • use the quantization control to control the duration and spacing of sound events
